Motion for rezoning has been approved!
The Park can be accessed from one of three entrances off of Leach Road in northern Moore County, where it will share a border with Montgomery County.
The park and resort at large will be open to members 24/7 with public operating hours set for dining, karting, and public amenities.
The race track will be open from approximately 9:00AM - 6:00PM daily Monday through Saturday, and 11:00AM - 5:00PM Sunday.
While there will certainly be high-end vehicles on-site and individuals will have opportunities to purchase memberships, the Uwharrie Motorsports Park is intended to serve all
car enthusiasts and the community at large through our public amenities and community events.
Not a DIME. We have not received any incentives from local, state, or federal government entities. In fact, over time, this Park will be a substantial net positive in revenue for the
county and local municipalities such as the Towns of Robbins and Carthage.
We are committed to ensuring that the Uwharrie Motorsports Park does not burden the local community with noise. In collaboration with Driven International, a renowned
architecture and engineering design firm specializing in sports, leisure, and motorsports, we conducted a noise study of the planned activity on our site. We will strictly enforce and
continuously monitor permitted noise levels through various noise monitoring technologies. In addition, our site will have earthen berms and sounds walls that will further reduce noise
levels traveling off-site.
We will comply fully with local, state, and federal regulations to protect potential wildlife and natural resources. Jordan Timber will maintain our land regarding needed thinning and fire protection. Prior to Autoport, this land was cleared for timber which means there is not any significant wildlife or endangered species present.
The Uwharrie Motorsports Park will follow local ordinances in Moore County for all streets, parking lots, and internal lighting. The Park will follow all dark skies requirements set
by the Moore County UDO, and all lights will be equipped with 90-degree cut-offs to ensure all light is directed downward. We will also utilize shields to prevent light from spilling onto
adjacent properties. Additionally, natural buffers like trees and vegetation will limit light from impacting outside the property.
The Park plans to hire 32 full-time and 100 part-time employees at an average salary of $48,000. Another 50 to 100 part-time staff will be needed throughout the year for various events.
Autoport will invest over $100 million in the Uwharrie Motorsports Park, generating over $12 million in economic and fiscal impact. Customers, residents, and visitors will be spending money in Moore County with local business. This means more tax revenue for schools, local fire departments, and other municipal services in the county.
